Meet the Team

Corrina Giakouminakis is the Founder, CEO, and Managing Partner of Anthea Labs. A first-generation American born and raised in New Jersey, Corrina brings strong work ethic, accountability, and entrepreneurial drive to everything she does.
With a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, her scientific background provides a deep appreciation for analytical rigor and detail. At Anthea Labs, Corrina leads from the business side—overseeing strategy, operations, partnerships, and growth—while ensuring the company’s scientific services are delivered with consistency and transparency. She is passionate about building a laboratory that clients can rely on, not just for accurate results, but for long-term partnership and industry leadership.
Corrina takes pride in cultivating a collaborative, family-oriented company culture while driving innovation in a highly regulated and evolving market. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and perfecting her driving skills during track days—embracing both precision and adrenaline as an extension of her focused, performance-driven mindset.

Dr. Martellini has been gaining science and research expertise for >20 years, across the fields of academia, government (Health & Human Services) as well as coast to coast experience in cannabis testing (From Alaska to NJ).
Having studied during her post doctorate at UTSW, among several Nobel Laureates, a solid foundation in science ethics and R&D has proven endlessly useful in ensuring testing standards for each unique product's chemistry is validated as accurate and precise. Even more essential, has been dual expertise in chemistry and microbiology, since both disciplines are required in cannabis testing.
Always valuing collaboration, Dr. Martellini has published her research in peer reviewed manuscripts (i.e. Journal of Immunology) as well as presented at national conferences, including: the American Society for Microbiologists, the American Public Health Association and the Analytical Cannabis Expo.
As a lab director, she fosters subject matter expertise in all scientists in the lab, so their knowledge goes beyond simply following SOPs. Every unique product poses a challenge in maintaining testing standards and quality, which is why R&D experience is critical to maintaining the most competitive methods.
In her spare time, she enjoys participating in the non-profit organization, the NYC Ghostbusters. She also has a membership to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and enjoys inspiring afternoons between the museum and strolling Central Park.

Harrison Avart is the Director of Revenue at Anthea Labs, where he focuses on building strategic partnerships and driving growth through a deep commitment to scientific integrity and regulatory compliance. He brings a multidisciplinary background that blends business, entrepreneurship, and behavioral science, holding a B.A. in Commerce, Organizations, and Entrepreneurship from Brown University and a Master of Behavioral and Decision Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania.
Harrison’s professional journey began in cannabis marketing and technology with Weedmaps, where he developed a strong foundation in navigating complex, emerging markets. He later co-founded two ventures in the cannabis space: a consulting firm supporting hydrocarbon extraction license holders and a compliance focused point-of-sale platform designed to help operators meet evolving regulatory standards. Later, he served as Director of Business Development at MCR Labs Pennsylvania, where he gained firsthand experience in the cannabis testing landscape and developed a nuanced understanding of laboratory operations, regulatory requirements, and client needs.
Across these experiences, Harrison has consistently focused on solving operational and strategic challenges at the intersection of regulation, technology, and customer behavior. Known for his curiosity and systems-oriented thinking, he approaches revenue growth through both analytical rigor and an understanding of human decision-making. Outside of work, he plays the viola, enjoys golfing, and is a proud cat dad.

Ronan holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His undergraduate laboratory experience focused on CRISPR-Cas9-mediated gene editing of evolutionary and developmental genes within grass species, Zea mays and Brachypodium distachyon, to determine the role of domestication and understand conserved genetic sequences of related species. Following graduation, he continued his research career at Drexel University, where he contributed to studying pH regulatory mechanisms and mitochondria function in Plasmodium falciparum. His work included metabolic gene knockdown approaches aimed at inducing parasite death, as well as fluorescence microscopy imaging of ATP localization across the asexual erythrocytic cycle. Since joining Anthea Labs, he contributes to the team as a sampler/lab technician, supporting laboratory operations. Outside of work, Ronan enjoys exploring new places, going to the beach, hiking, reading, and cooking.
